Aside from being a writer and a social & content specialist, Teejay takes pride in feeding whoever sits near her at work.
Tricia Jean Vergara goes by the nickname “Teejay” in hopes that it will give her more edge. This theory has yet to be confirmed.
After her gig at Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH), she is now a copywriter at TBWA Singapore, working on accounts such as Spotify, Sunsilk (Unilever), NCS, Macallan, IKEA, and most recently, Disney. When not cracking briefs, she also runs the agency’s TikTok page.
Having been the lead social copywriter for Red Bull East Asia and Sentosa content studios, she writes everything from Instagram stories, LinkedIn posts, TikToks, TVC scripts, print ads, EDMs, to her friends’ breakup messages (pro bono).
Her love for the written word and music led her to become a self-proclaimed "ultimate hustler." She has had several part-time stints as a writer cum soft news journalist, online editorial assistant, digital marketer, and occasionally, a “graphic designer + video editor + photographer,” all while in university.
But alas! She soon realised that there is more to life than the grind, so she makes it a point to devote her time to other soul-nourishing pursuits.
Her other passions include: playing the drums and the guitar (albeit terribly), practising yoga, making Spotify playlists, tending to her indoor plants, attempting to bake the perfect pandesal, creating 0.5x vlogs on TikTok and running a bookstagram account called @boogiewondereads along with its version of a Telegram channel.
She has since found it mildly amusing to refer to herself in the third person.
